Colt M-16 Military Caliber 5.56mm

Brochure D-4 (A6-71 with the long clip)

(Scarce American version)

Part Number 91816

8.5 x 11 in., 8 pages

This (1974) M-16 Colt brochure, written in English, measures 8.5 x 11 in., has 8 pages, and is printed on polished 2-sided paper in full color. The military M-16,  5.56 caliber is the later military version of the earlier civilian .5.56 caliber version of the AR-15.

This later brochure was previously printed in several languages other than English for a European trade presentation to potential military buyers in 1964.

Eventually, the AR-15, 5.56 was renamed the M-16 for the military and various versions were produced and sold through out the world.

See page 262 (M-16) and 264 (AR-15) of Ogle's 'The Book of Colt Paper' for the two versions.
