1937 Colt Officers Model Target .22 Revolver
|
In 1930, Colt introduced the first Officers Model Target revolver in .22 caliber. After the first two years, in 1932, Colt incorporated a non-embedded cylinder head allowing the cartridge to remain flush with the face of the cylinder. Note the special sticker on the box for this early revolver to that effect. This example has an adjustable rear sight and an adjustable front Patridge sight, finely checked backstrap and trigger. It has the standard 6" barrel and not a heavy weight barrel, which makes it more rare than the heavy barrel versions since the standard weight was only made in limited quantities after introduction of the heavier barrel. |
