This partial U. S. Army
Hospital Department post-mortem set with early Civil War dark green
velvet liner and the 'G. Tiemann & Co.' maker label in the bottom of
the case shows the earlier 63 Chatham address, which was the Tiemann address immediately before
and during the first three years of the War:
1855-63/64: 63 Chatham and 44 Eldridge.
The mahogany
cased post-mortem set is (9 3/8 x 3 7/8 x 1 7/8 inches); has
a single military style sliding brass
latch.
