No 'Printed in U.S.A.'' so it's pre-1929

The 1911 Government Model .45 ACP was primarily manufactured by Colt in Hartford, but over a million were produced during WW2 under license by Springfield Armory and other private firms.

No 'Printed in U.S.A.', so it's pre-1929

 

1915 the first .22 automatic pistol was produced by Colt and eventually (1927) was known as the 'Woodsman'.  The first pistols were not marked as 'Woodsman' on the slide.
